MERIT, a project co-funded by the EU under the Digital Europe Programme (GA 101083531), is launching four new master’s programmes and updating an existing one in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the internet of things for the 2024-2025 academic year. These learning courses, aimed at enhancing the competencies in advanced digital skills and boosting digitalisation in Europe, have been offered by three prestigious universities: Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC), Riga Technical University (RTU), and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH).

The first Online International Industry Engagement Workshop on Artificial Intelligence, hosted by the MERIT project on June 26, 2024, was a resounding success, attracting over 30 participants from Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Spain.

From May 21-23, 2024, the IoT Solutions World Congress took place at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via Venue, gathering international industry leaders and innovators. The UPC, through CIT UPC, actively participated in this prestigious event, highlighting its cutting-edge projects, such as the MERIT project, and technological solutions to foster collaborative relationships between academia and industry.
