Study Program: Management of Smart, Resilient, and Interconnected Systems

Management of Smart, Resilient, and Interconnected Systems

The Management of Smart, Resilient, and Interconnected Systems study program, offered by Riga Technical University (RTU) is a joint program between RTU Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Energy as well as RTU Riga Business School. This unique master’s program combines the technical skills of IT with the business and leadership knowledge of an MBA program. This newly developed master’s program is designed with the current market needs in mind, and provides four specializations for students to be able to dive deeper into the field of interest that best fits their career goals. These four specializations consist of Public Administration, Professional Services, Healthcare, and Non-IT Manufacturing.

Developed with the support of the European Union’s Digital Europe study program, this master’s program addresses the growing need for leaders who can effectively manage and innovate within complex technological environments. This rigorous two-year study program fosters a comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Cybersecurity (CS), preparing graduates to lead the charge in shaping the future of technology. Unlike traditional MBA study programs, this program offers a specialized blend of technical expertise and strategic management skills. This unique combination equips graduates with the necessary competencies to step into high-level management roles, such as Chief Information Officer (CIO), where both technical knowledge and business acumen are essential for success. They will be prepared to lead IT teams, develop strategic IT plans, and ensure that technology investments align with overall business objectives.
