VILNIUS TECH – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University

Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) is one of the biggest research universities in Lithuania with a focus on technologies and engineering and a strong emphasis on university-business cooperation. The number of students in VILNIUS TECH currently is 8 400 (15.1% are international students – degree-seeking or exchange). The university has around 500 business partners and actively participates in multiple international networks and has extensive experience in the implementation of international projects within the Erasmus+ programme, Horizon2020, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Marie-Curie and other EU funded programmes.
According to QS World University Rankings in Computer Science and Information Systems subject, VILNIUS TECH is number one in Lithuania and is ranked in 501-550 position in the World. The research activities in the subject are concentrated in the Institute of Applied Computer Science with laboratories on Security of Information Systems, Parallel computing, Information Systems. While bachelor, master and PhD studies are distributed within multiple faculties. Both studies and research are highly oriented on research-based computer science application, to assure practical adaptation of the gained skills and achieved results.
