Project Results

The latest Face-to-Face General Assembly of the MERIT project took place in Trento, Italy, from 7 to 8 May 2026, hosted by Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK). The meeting brought together project partners, Advisory Board members, academic representatives and industry experts to review project progress, exchange good practices and coordinate the next steps towards the sustainability and long-term impact of MERIT results.

On 9 April, the 7th edition of MERIThON took place in Riga, bringing together students for an engaging hackathon organized in collaboration with Riga Technical University (RTU) and Riga Business School (RBS). Participants worked in teams to develop innovative solutions addressing real-world technological challenges in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC) in Manresa, UPC Manresa, has held a new edition of MERIThON (6th MERIThON), the hackathon linked to the Digital Europe MERIT project, with the participation of 32 students organised into 9 teams who developed innovative solutions based on real-world technological challenges. 

The latest General Assembly (GA) of the MERIT project, hosted by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) from June 17–19, 2025, marked a significant milestone in academic-industry synergy, international engagement, and strategic forward planning. Held across various venues in Vilnius, the three-day event gathered project partners, stakeholders, and special guests, culminating in a powerful statement on the future of higher education, skills-based learning, and artificial intelligence (AI).
