The MERIT project, co-funded under the Digital Europe Programme, continues to make strides in advancing digital skills across Europe. A highlight of this initiative is the success of the short-term courses offered at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), as part of the MERIT programme. These courses provide a unique opportunity for professionals and students to gain critical knowledge in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), business analytics, and system integration.

In September 2024, the MERIT project successfully launched four master’s programmes aimed at equipping students with advanced digital skills to meet the growing demand for experts in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

With the participation of four European universities, three of which have already commenced their programmes, the MERIT initiative is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital transformation across Europe.

On September 23-24, 2024, MERIT was showcased at the 6th edition of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Network Conference (CRAI) held at the Palas Congress Hall in Iași, Romania. The conference, hosted by “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi in collaboration with the Romanian-American Foundation, Digital Innovation Zone and other partners, brought together over 170 innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to promote technology transfer, entrepreneurial education, and innovation.
