UPC Showcases MERIT Project at ISE 2026

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC), represented by the UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC), showcased the MERIT project at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), held from 3 to 6 February in Barcelona. ISE 2026 marked a record-breaking edition, welcoming more than 92,000 attendees from around the world and once again consolidating its position as the leading international tech show for audiovisual technologies, systems integration and immersive experiences.

Presented at the UPC stand, located in the Catalonia Pavilion hosted by the Government of Catalonia, MERIT benefited from a dedicated presence through a range of communication materials prepared specifically for the event. Brochures and QR leaflets introducing the project, its unique master’s study programme, and its vision to create an international educational ecosystem offering lifelong learning programmes to support the upskilling and requalification of professionals — aimed at bridging Europe’s digital skills gap — were made available to visitors. These were complemented by the continuous screening of the official MERIT project video throughout the four-day exhibition. In addition, branded MERIT pens were distributed, further reinforcing the project’s visibility and recognition among attendees.

MERIT’s presence at ISE 2026 enabled the project to engage directly with its key target audiences, including students, companies, technology providers, representatives of higher education institutions (HEIs), and innovators interested in advanced digital skills and education-focused ecosystems.

Through its participation within the UPC exhibition space, MERIT benefited from the University’s strong institutional visibility and from an international environment that fostered meaningful connections with stakeholders relevant to the project’s mission.
