Central Catalonia Digital Forum connects tech talent and companies at UPC Manresa [06.02.2026]

On Friday, February 6, the Central Catalonia Digital Forum will be held at the UPC Manresa Auditorium, a two-hour event (from 12:00 to 14:00) designed to connect emerging digital talent with local companies and foster collaboration between the academic world and the productive ecosystem of Central Catalonia.

The event is part of the Digital MERIT European project, an educational ecosystem co-funded by the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme, in which the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) participates alongside other European universities. SMEs also play a key role in the project, including Asoindel, co-organizer of this forum. The initiative aims to strengthen advanced digital skills and align specialized education with the real needs of companies and the socio-economic environment.

The Central Catalonia Digital Forum will bring together students, university professors, technology professionals, and company representatives interested in innovation, digital transformation, and attracting qualified talent. The programme includes roundtable discussions, debates, and networking activities.

The event will be hosted by Enric Bastardas, a communicator from Manresa specialized in technology, innovation, and personal development. It aims to become a platform for generating opportunities in terms of connection, collaboration, and knowledge transfer between academia and industry. Several SMEs from the Bages region will participate in the roundtables, including Aigües de Manresa, Althaia, Brontobyte, Envasos Boixadós, F2R, Grup Aquacenter, Maccion, Mesai, Progress, and Selba.

Through this initiative, the Central Catalonia Digital Forum seeks to highlight the region’s technological talent and reinforce Manresa’s role as a hub for digital training and innovation, contributing to the economic development and competitiveness of Central Catalonia.
