MERIT Showcased at Foro Transfiere 2026 in Málaga

From 24 to 26 February, the MERIT project was showcased at the stand of CIT UPC during Foro Transfiere 2026, held at the Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre (FYCMA) in Málaga (Spain).

As part of its participation in the fifteenth edition of the event, the UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC) once again presented UPC technology within the shared pavilion of Fedit (Spanish Federation of Technology Centres). CIT UPC presented a selection of cutting-edge projects and advanced solutions developed at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC), including the MERIT project and its mission to close Europe’s skills gap among digital specialists.

MERIT’s Contribution to Digital Skills in Europe

At Foro Transfiere 2026, MERIT was promoted through a dedicated project leaflet, as well as QR-code brochures designed for the fair. These materials enabled visitors to access detailed information about the project and its objectives, reinforcing its visibility among professionals from the R&D&I ecosystem.

In addition, branded materials such as MERIT pens were displayed at the stand, contributing to the dissemination of the project and supporting engagement with stakeholders from academia, industry and public institutions.

MERIT’s presence formed part of CIT UPC’s broader strategy to foster knowledge transfer and strengthen collaboration between universities and businesses. The forum provided a strategic environment to connect science with industry, promote innovation, and explore opportunities for technological cooperation at both national and European level.

Recognised as the main meeting point in Southern Europe for Science, Technology and Innovation, Foro Transfiere once again offered access to disruptive technological trends, funding opportunities and networking spaces, consolidating its role as a key platform for driving innovation in Spain and across Europe.
