Local meeting in Romania to explore future innovation strategies

Iași, Romania – July 29, 2024. The V7 Startup Studio Palas in Iași was the venue for a regional meeting under the “IaaS 4 DR – Innovation as a Service” initiative. The primary goal was to meet, get acquainted and find ways of collaborating. Participants worked to define a framework that would cater specifically to the needs of underserved areas. 18 representatives from regional development agencies, research institutions, digital and innovation hubs, and technology service providers came together and engaged in discussions about future joint activities. 

The MERIT project was presented during the meeting by Digital Innovation Zone (DIZ) coordinator Cristina Baghiu, who showcased the project’s objectives and the commitment to supporting impactful initiatives that drive societal progress. The presentation highlighted how the MERIT project fosters the development of advanced digital skills, underscoring the crucial role of collaboration in driving innovation and technological transition both regionally and across Europe.
