The MERIT project, co-funded by the EU under the Digital Europe Programme, aims to train the next generation of digital specialists in the fields of AI, Cybersecurity, and IoT. It has developed five master’s degree programmes across Spain, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania, which are now fully operational, with students already benefiting from advanced education shaped by the project’s vision, and informed by reported academic and industry needs and trends.

The MERIT project invites industry professionals, employers, and sector experts to share their perspectives in our Industry Trends & Skills Survey.  

How is your organisation responding to digital transformation? What skills will be essential for the future of work in your sector? 

We have prepared a short questionnaire aimed at identifying skills gaps across the industry and to gain a clearer understanding of how technologies are currently being adopted – and how they are expected to evolve. The insights gathered will support the training of MERIT master’s students, ensuring they are equipped with the most relevant skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact on society after graduation. 

The survey collects insights into current and emerging industry needs, with a particular focus on digitalisation, innovation, and sustainability.
