UPC
Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC) is a public institution of research and higher education in the fields of engineering, architecture, sciences and technology, and one of the leading technical universities in Europe. Every year, more than 6,000 bachelor’s and master’s students, more than 500 doctoral students graduate and 3,067 graduates in lifelong learning. According to QS World University Rankings in Computer Science and Information Systems subject, UPC is number one in Spain and number 79 in the World.
One target of UPC is internationalization, as it is the technical university with the highest number of international Ph.D. students and the university with the highest number of international master’s degree students in Spain. The UPC is also home to strategic research projects, being the Spanish university achieving the most H2020 funding (e.g., 55M€ only in 2020). As a leading member of international networks of excellence, the UPC also has a privileged relationship with global scientific and educational organisations: the collaboration in UNITE!, UNITECH, EUA and other networks provide a wide range of outreach.
